I haven't shot with Holly Moss in a while, so I was soo excited when asked to work on a new project with her. This is the girliest shoot that Holly has ever done, and i adore these images. It was a fun shoot to work on... slightly unnerving being around so many swans, however that just made it that bit more entertaining. Here is a shot from the day, more on my Facebook page.

Finally got round to shooting with Rod Edwards. Its been so long now that we have been discussing this shoot. Various obstacles have come up preventing us for doing it before now, so we were both happy to get stuck in. It was a really beautiful and oddly hot winters day at the beach. Today I had a shoot with another photographer that i hadn't previously worked with. For a long time now I have admired the work of Rekha Garton, so i was rather excited to have the chance to work with her. Here is a shot from the day.

Ok, This day I was working with Timesniper Photography on a model portfolio. Met in House Of Fraser to help the guys with their shopping... I was in shock and awe at how quick and good they were! Always a pleasure to meet and work with new creatives. We did a number of looks to provide as much variety as possible, here is a shot from the day.

So.... Trip cancelled I am staying put in the UK. Time to go crazy and build up more business... enter new flyers!

So, we thought that we would be freakishly organised and shoot the next lookbook well ahead of schedule, and while I was still in the country. This was by far the fastest shoot we've done together yet. I think we have all got so used to working together as a team and the brand itself that its just second nature. Just as much fun as usual, and the pieces just keep getting better! Its always great when you work within a regular team of amazing creatives, you have a tendancy to grow as a team and really understand and adapt to the job in hand... seems like each shoot that goes by we are always improving together. I do love these EE Lookbook shoots and meetings, they are always a fun and productive. On this shoot we all learnt something truely shocking.... You can actually fit a Haribo ring around your wrist... wow! I do LOVE how random my job can be at times. I ended up spending my evening working with 2 hostesses and...... 22 Shaolin Warriors! Another MA Action event this evening was the filming of their latest dvd. I had a great time, the guys were truely amazing such disciplin, strength and focus. Along with doing the hair & make-up i got to watch the show, get taught some new clicks and stretches, have a serious giggle... and i was back in that make-up room. Just to prove quite how sad i am here are two pics, one of the guys and also one of a fraction of my mess in the make-up room! Oh to have an "organised" space!

I did some work for the launch of MA Action. An MMA event televised on ESPN. Instead i was working on the hostesses and ring girl. It was my first event at Epic Studios and it was nice to have a good prep space ie an actual make-up room. Iv done so much work on location from the boot of my car that its always novel. Here is a snap shot of the ladies.

I took part in a shoot for LoveClothing.com which is a fashion clothing site soon to be launched. It was a great opportunity to have a look at their clothing prior to the launch. There is a great variety of clothing available and everyone involved is so passionate about what they do that im sure that it will be a big sucess. Here is a shot from the day.

I was asked to take part in an editorial shoot for Aprils issue of Turn Magazine. I had worked with the photographer, stylist and model before... Norwich being as small as it is and with local work this can happen alot! So.... in intense winds Emily, Felicity and I headed out to get to work. It was freezing, i remember hiding behind the reflector using it as a wind block. However we had great fun and it was a great chance to all catch up and hang out. Im really happy with the photos, i hope that you like them to.

I have had a short time out of location shoots and had forgotten quite how cold it can get..... back out there and i have to say that i really had missed it. Odd hey? Today i was testing with a young budding photographer Adam Hicks. Here is an example from the day. It was lovely to meet Adam and since we have worked together for a client. Im sure you will see more work from us soon.

This is without a doubt the longest shoot that i have ever taken part in. There were various aspects and ideas behind this 11hr day, 2 locations, 3 models & several changes. We had a number of problem solving moments on this test shoot however did get some great shots. Here is one example from the day.

Ok so time for another EE shoot! This was for the Spring Summer 2011 collection and lookbook. This time we went alot bolder, and had some fun with some colours. Last night I had an amazing time with two of my favourite photographers and good friends Daniel Lightening & Holly Moss. It was a good chance for the two of them to meet and for us all to have some fun. We set up then Halloween took over, and things got a little scary and extremely hilarious! Today i was working with talented young photographer Kyle Galvin on a graveyard editorial shoot. With some interesting Props and Accessories we created a bit of a spooky series.

Derelict shoot with Emily Jane Morgan. We had a bit of fun with the location as we were moved from the first site due to securitys concern for our safety and a near by facilities sanity! However all was well in the end, as we found a second site, perhaps even better than the first. Here is one of the shots from the day.

In this months Issue of Perfect Hair Magazine are 20 images of my work! Its a rather large number and i must admit that it did make me rather happy. My work is popping up in a large range of hair magazines and has been for months now... I just never seem to notice, but when i do grab a mag it does put a smile on my face to see my work in it!

 Today i was working on a shoot once again for Flaiver.com. It was great working with the team again and we had a really productive fast paced day. As a freelancer its always nice to work with regular companies and teams of professionals. Iv made so many great friends, and my clients are so amazing i never get lonely!

Throughout August I was booked out with wedding clients so didn't get any chance to work on many shoots. I had a number of brides to be contact me attempting to get in at the last moment and unfortunately i was unable to offer my services. Do be aware when planning your wedding that hair & make-up artists will get booked up fast during peak season, even out of it. Make sure that you plan ahead to save panic and possibly disappointment. Late appointments are possible but be aware that I am now taking bookings for 2011 & 2012.

Location shoot again today with the lovely and talented Charlotte Rutherford! The plan once again foiled by the weather as we couldn't risk damaging any stunning gowns, so we improvised as we didn't want to waste a day! Thinking on our feet....though we couldn't feel our toes we worked together to build another strong collection.

Once again i spent my day working with the team at Sandra Reynolds agency in Norwich. Providing my services on their photographic studio sessions. I lend my services to their studio & workshop days on a regular basis, and i can honestly say that everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Charlotte Rutherford and I got outside to brave the weather on a truely grim day! We have had to postpone soo many shoots now due to the great british, so today thought.... lets brave it and see what we can get! The days pictures came out stunning and are soon to be published in a magazine.

Artistic Stylist's first shoot upon setting up in 2008 was with photographer Daniel Lightening or Lightening Photography. I still love to work with Daniel on a regular basis on shoots and weddings. I firmly believe that creative shoots help me get out all of that madness so that i can provide natural and tame bridal and events make-up. Everyone needs to vent every now and then.... and i can not recommend anything better than a creative test shoot! Tonight with Daniel was no exception.

I Had a test shoot with a local photographer Mui Tsun. I am always looking to expand and strengthen my portfolio. In order to do this i do alot of networking to find Photographers, models, clothing designers to work with. My testing is now rather limited due to my busy schedule, however it never hurts to ask.

Today i had another shoot with Lightening photography. We were looking to create and capture a variety of make-up looks using Mac Pigments. Due to the fact that I now have a truely crazy number of them and just want to play with them all of the time. Hello there, im sorry that its taken me so long to get another blog out. Today i had another fantastic shoot with photographer Charlotte Rutherford. We got out into nature and had a whale of a time, using two models to display a variety of looks in a variety of fields, woods and landscapes. Here is an example of the days shoot.

Today i had an amazing shoot with photographer Charlotte Rutherford and model Chelc. The weather wasn't nice but it was perfect for the shots. Charlotte has a habbit of producing some seriously stunning images and never fails to amaze. I was having a ball of a time with smoke bombs and a mini blow tourch! Another day working with the lovely ladies at the Sandra Reynolds Agency in Norwich! Models came for Acting and catwalk tutorials and also a full photographic shoot designed to give each individual a full range of images for their portfolio. On Saturday i provided House Of Couture of Norwich once again with my skills for another of their bridal trial days. On these days you can come into the shop pick up a glass of fizz and relax while you have your hair and make-up done by local artists. Once you are ready you will then have a member of staff assist you in finding and trying on your dream dress('s). On the 12th I attended the wedding fair at Gissing Hall, providing my hair and make-up services for their catwalk show. The gowns being modelled were from Camilla Brides Norwich. The event and show was filmed by channel 4 as part of a series. Unfortunately i have no idea when it is to be aired however the girls and the gowns were stunning. Today i was shooting in Cambridge with photographer Sophie Ellen and model Emma. Last time we worked with Emma it was a strong derelict fashion shoot, so today we shot a collection of softer images. Here is a behind the scenes a la Blackberry sneak peak.

I usually save this blog for photographic work, however i think the Pickering - Durant wedding deserves a mention. This is the largest bridal party that i have taken on so far. It really was great fun and i have to say to smoothest bridal morning i have ever known, which is amazing as there were 10 ladies getting ready! Lucy and Luke are now enjoying the fine weather of Florida, i wish them all the best!

Today i had another amazing shoot with Lightening Photography, Daniel is so talented and always a pleasure to work with. We went for another highly contrasted shoot to continue our previous Frocks and Rocks collection. I love styling for shoots like this when the sky is pretty much the limit. The dresses used today were from Camilla Brides my one stop shop for dresses. Everything from classic chic, to vintage glamour, to oh my thats pretty darn cool! and much much more...the place really is my Aladins cave of dreams!
