One of my favourite things about being a bridal hair and makeup artist is seeing how each bride brings her own personality and style into her wedding day. No two weddings are ever the same, and I love helping brides create a look that feels authentically theirs.
I thought it would be lovely to share some of my brides here on the blog, showcasing their bridal hair, makeup, and personal wedding style, along with some of the talented suppliers who helped bring their day together.
Unfortunately, I don't have the details of the suppliers involved in Emma's wedding, which is such a shame as they all did a wonderful job and deserve a mention.
Emma travelled from London to celebrate her wedding in Suffolk, choosing a charming vintage village hall wedding rather than following the more traditional route taken by many of her friends. It was a beautiful reflection of her personality and perfectly suited the relaxed, timeless atmosphere she wanted to create.
Before finding me, Emma had attended bridal hair and makeup trials elsewhere but felt that her vintage-inspired vision hadn't quite been understood. We arranged a trial at her in-laws' home in Suffolk, where we spent time exploring ideas, discussing the finer details of her wedding style, and, most importantly, getting to know each other.
It quickly became clear what Emma was hoping to achieve. Together, we refined her look until every element felt just right. By the end of the trial, we had created a bridal hair and makeup look that perfectly captured her vintage aesthetic while still feeling modern, elegant, and unmistakably her.
Emma was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. The wedding morning itself was wonderfully relaxed, surrounded by family and friends, with a calm and joyful atmosphere that every bride hopes for.
One of my favourite moments was seeing Emma fully dressed and ready to walk down the aisle. Watching all the individual elements come together—the dress, the hair, the makeup, and the accessories—was truly magical. She looked absolutely stunning.
For her bridal hair, we created a softly structured updo with loose curls and a gentle vintage influence. The style featured a subtle half-beehive shape with a large headband of hair, carefully secured to ensure even tension, long-lasting hold and complete comfort throughout the day.
Her bridal makeup focused on enhancing her natural beauty. We created a soft, slightly dewy complexion with rose-toned cheeks and delicate highlighting. Gold, bronze and brown tones were used around the eyes to create subtle definition and warmth, finished with liquid eyeliner and individual lash extensions applied on the wedding day. A soft pink gloss completed the look beautifully.
Emma's wedding was a wonderful reminder that the best bridal looks are the ones that feel personal. Trends come and go, but confidence, authenticity and a style that truly reflects who you are will always stand the test of time.
Wishing Emma and Giles a lifetime of happiness together.
