If you've been following my blog for a while, you may recognise Helen from a previous post featuring photographs from her bridal hair trial.
Helen was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. Warm, kind, and effortlessly elegant, she was the picture of a relaxed bride throughout her wedding journey.
On the morning of the wedding, the atmosphere was wonderfully calm. Helen was surrounded by her closest friends and family, all sharing in the excitement of the day ahead. While the bridal party prepared together, we decided to style Helen's bridal hair in a separate room, allowing her to enjoy a little quiet time and helping to preserve the peaceful, relaxed feel of the morning.
As we worked, her beautiful wedding dress hung nearby, waiting for its moment. Then the music she'd chosen for walking down the aisle began to play. I immediately recognised it. Like many people, I'd heard it before whilst watching the Twilight Saga films. It was Christina Perri's A Thousand Years.
Looking back at the photographs now, it feels like the perfect choice. The song beautifully reflected the romantic, timeless style that flowed throughout the entire wedding. Every detail felt elegant, thoughtful, and completely true to Helen and her partner.
The wedding took place in the ever-popular North Norfolk countryside, providing a beautiful backdrop for their celebrations. The photographs were captured by a talented friend, while the flowers were created by OOps A Daisy Florists in Drayton.
A special mention must go to the beautiful wired flowers they kindly supplied for Helen's bridal hairstyle. They added the perfect finishing touch, weaving delicate floral details through the romantic updo and complementing the overall wedding style beautifully.
One of the things I love most about working as a bridal hair specialist is seeing how all the individual elements come together on the wedding day. The dress, the flowers, the styling, the atmosphere, and, most importantly, the people. When everything reflects the couple's personality, the result feels effortless and unforgettable.
Helen looked absolutely beautiful, but more importantly, she looked completely herself—a quality that I believe is at the heart of every successful bridal hairstyle.
It was such a privilege to be part of her special day.
I wish Helen and her husband a lifetime of happiness, laughter and wonderful adventures together.
