I first met Kelly and Tim through our gym. We'd often see each other in passing, but never really had the chance to get to know one another. So, when Kelly asked me to be part of her wedding morning, I was absolutely delighted.
It was a lovely opportunity to spend some time with her and get to know her a little better. It didn't take long to see why Tim had fallen for her. Kelly has the kindness, warmth and beauty of a Disney princess, with a calm, gentle nature that instantly puts everyone around her at ease.
As a dual artist, I am most often booked to provide both hair and makeup for weddings. However, I always enjoy the opportunity to collaborate with other talented professionals, and Kelly had already arranged her hair styling with her friend, Kaylee.
Hair remains my specialist field and where the majority of my bridal work lies. If I am booked in one specialism, it is bridal hair due to my extensive experience in hairstyling. It is only on a rare occasion, working on the request of colleagues and friends, that I will offer makeup as a standalone service. Having dedicated specialists focused on their own strengths can create a wonderfully seamless experience for a wedding morning.
Kaylee was an absolute pleasure to work with. Everything flowed effortlessly, and together we created beautiful, polished looks that perfectly suited Kelly and her bridal party. Everyone looked fantastic.
Despite the excitement of the day, Kelly remained wonderfully calm throughout the morning. While nerves can often make an appearance on a wedding day, she was completely collected and simply enjoyed every moment of getting ready with her loved ones.
After completing the morning preparations, I headed home before returning later for the reception. Kelly's makeup still looked just as fresh and beautiful as it had when she first stepped into her dress. A true testament to great skin preparation, quality products, and a bride who radiated happiness from within.
Kimberley Hall was a wonderful venue. Grand and elegant in appearance, yet warm and welcoming at the same time. It manages to feel impressive without ever feeling intimidating.
And the food... wow. Fresh hot Scotch eggs? Say no more.
With sweets, a well-stocked bar, plenty of laughter and a dance floor filled with classic tunes, the celebrations had everything you could hope for. Tim looked rather handsome himself, and their beautiful twin girls completely stole the show on more than one occasion.
It was a genuine pleasure to be part of such a lovely day, celebrating two wonderful people surrounded by family, friends, and so much love.
