These images were captured by the wonderfully talented photographer Sophie Traynor along the stunning Norfolk coastline.

I was genuinely sad when Sophie moved back home. Not only is she an exceptional photographer, but she was also great fun to work with and one of those people who could make even the longest shoot days feel effortless. The industry can be surprisingly small, and there are certain creatives you genuinely miss when they move on to new adventures.

The beautiful model featured in these images is Jacq Boulton. Jacq and I worked together on several occasions over the years, and she was every bit as lovely as she was striking. Sadly, she is no longer with us, making these photographs all the more special to revisit.

These images were taken along the breathtaking Norfolk coast, a landscape I often take for granted despite being fortunate enough to live so close. Norfolk offers such incredible variety, from wide sandy beaches and dramatic dunes to rugged marshland and charming coastal villages. Every visit feels different, and looking back at these photographs has reminded me that I really need to take the dogs for a proper coastal adventure very soon.

One of the things I love most about working as a hair and makeup artist is the variety that comes with the job. One day I might be creating bridal hair for a Norfolk wedding, the next I could be standing on a windswept beach working on a fashion shoot. Sometimes it feels like I'm constantly on the move, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Creative projects like this allow you to draw inspiration from the environment around you, and with scenery like Norfolk's coastline, there is certainly no shortage of inspiration. The hair and makeup that I did for these looks was designed to be soft, romantic, and imperfect, able to work with the wind a little, but hold some sense of structure without being too intentional and overpowering.
