Dancing Into Summer

Recently I've had the pleasure of working on a number of dance-focused photoshoots alongside Norwich photographer Nic Donovan.
These projects have ranged from portfolio sessions and headshots through to commercial work featuring dancewear and performance clothing, with dancers modelling everything from Porselli leotards to full tutus.
What always fascinates me is the incredible control, strength and artistry that dancers bring to a shoot. The ability to create beautiful lines, expressive movement and seemingly effortless poses is something truly special to witness.
Hair and makeup requirements vary depending on the purpose of the shoot. For professional headshots, we often keep things soft and natural, while portfolio and creative images can call for more dramatic styling. Hairstyles are frequently secured into sleek buns or braids, allowing the focus to remain on posture, movement and expression.
Working alongside talented creatives is always rewarding, but spending time around dancers has given me an even greater appreciation for the discipline, dedication and years of training that sit behind every movement.
It's been a pleasure to be part of these projects, and I look forward to many more.
