Period Hair and Makeup to Editorial Looks

We finished this stunning period shoot early and were just enjoying the vibe together, so we continued on with a cooler curveball of creativity for kicks. What better way to protect model welfare than to allow them to cool off in a paddling pool after an extremely hot shoot in full period attire?

Rekha off the cuff said, pool... sequins; I dismantled the period hairstyles, and in minutes I transformed the girls into entirely different looks.... Tyler and Grace rocked the living hell out of it, and Rekha produced these beautiful images! Boom... go team. A lovely productive use of time with the right people.

After years working on fashion, beauty, and editorial shots in the past with some really strong looks, As a hair and makeup artist, I am someone who much prefers understated looks that work beautifully with all of the other layers to bring together the final image/character... Rather than just shouting loudly, fighting for dominance. But variety is the spice of life; sometimes it's important to punch out different looks to keep you balanced and versatile.
