Working on commercial film productions always offers a slightly different pace to my usual editorial and photography work. This project for Blooming Artificial was a fantastic experience from start to finish and, honestly, the products themselves completely blew me away. The artificial plants were so realistic that it was difficult to believe they weren't the real thing.
Filmed locally in Norfolk, the production focused on creating tutorial content for Blooming Artificial's customers. The hair and makeup styling needed to feel natural, approachable, and authentic to both the characters and the brand, so I kept everything soft and understated.
Unlike still photography, film production often requires much longer shooting days and careful attention to continuity. I remained on set throughout the production to maintain consistency between scenes and make subtle adjustments as the timeline of the story progressed.
One of the things I enjoy most about working in the Norfolk creative industry is the opportunity to collaborate with talented local businesses and production teams. It was lovely to return to work with Blooming Artificial again, and a huge thank you goes to the team at Trett Films for bringing me on board. Every project introduces me to new creatives, new challenges, and new ways of telling stories through hair and makeup.
